Festival of Intimate Animation
On May 17 and 24 at 18:30, our cinema will host an improvised festival of Ukrainian independent animation.
You’ll see 50 original works — amateur, experimental, created in a variety of techniques and genres by both adults and children.
What is intimate animation? It’s what is born in silence — sincere, honest, at times awkward, but always alive. These are works created out of an inner need to express something. Usually, they’re seen only by a small circle of friends or like-minded people. Our festival aims to expand that circle — to let these hidden gems be seen and heard, while preserving the intimate atmosphere of trust and openness in which they were made.
Join us in exploring the vibrant world of Ukrainian animation.
Festival curators: Heorhiy Gogatadze and Sofiia Levchenkova.
Free entry with registration.
