"Filma" Feminist Film Festival
From December 1st to 3rd, the DCCC Cinema will host screenings of 13 films as part of the "Filma" Feminist Film Festival, which, since 2021, has served as a platform for cinema that adheres to the principles of intersectional feminism, anti-racism, anti-colonialism, inclusion, and consent culture.
This year's festival will feature three programs.
The "Taking Care of Yourself, Taking Care of Everyone" program proposes viewing HIV/AIDS not only as a medical topic but as a space for dialogue between generations, cultures, and bodies. Registration.
The films in the "Cripping, Living, Loving" program present a crucial yet rarely depicted perspective on the lives of people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, showcasing diverse and layered experiences. Registration.
The films from the "Changing What Cannot Be Accepted" program demonstrate that pathways to radically different, just futures—free of poverty, violence, and discrimination—are possible through activism. Registration.
Admission is free. Please register to participate. Space is limited.
The DCCC Cinema is a space for independent cinema in Dnipro, a platform for discussing contemporary cinematography, documentary filmmaking, and audiovisual art. It focuses on screening auteur and experimental films.
