Screening of the film "Yasni Ochi"
On October 20 at 6:30 PM, the DCCC Cinema will screen the film "Yasni Ochi" by German director Marcus Heep.
"Yasni Ochi" is a film about the daily life and operations of the "Khartiia" Brigade's attack UAV unit, focusing on its commander, recruits, and drone operators who, before the full-scale war, were musicians and DJs spinning sets in Dnipro's underground clubs, or successful marketers and IT specialists writing code.
Ukrainian drone pilots, particularly the soldiers of the "Yasni Ochi" unit, have become some of the most effective units on the battlefield. Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have changed the tactics and strategy of modern warfare, from reconnaissance to targeting the enemy. Who are these people who traded their laptops for tactical displays, staring at screens for hours in search of enemy targets? The film offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the soldiers' daily work, where technology and creativity combine to influence the course of the war.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director, Marcus Heep. The film's protagonists, pilots from the "Clear Eyes" unit, will also join the discussion online.
Admission is free, with mandatory registration.
