Songs of Coal and Steel
On November 28th at 6:30 PM, the Blue Hall of the DCCC will host the musical event for the "Songs of Coal and Steel" project.
As part of the "Songs of Coal and Steel" project, six young composers explored the theme of the industrial past of eastern Ukraine. They researched the soundscapes of steel mills, observed life in industrial cities, created their compositions, and consulted with experienced German composer Sven-Ingo Koch.
These six newly created works are music for an ensemble featuring electronic elements, where the nostalgic and the raw, the life-affirming and the mechanistic are combined. The concert in Dnipro will mark the return of this music to the circumstances that inspired it.
