Open call for participation in "Sound Working Group" residency
DCCC invites you to explore the new Ukrainian sensitivity to soundscapes, focusing on field recordings and found sounds as part of the "Sound Working Group" residency.
The residency will run from November 4 to 29.
During the project, you will:
— Participate in weekly meetings discussing the history and theory of sound, the current state of sound practices in Ukraine and abroad;
— Work on your own project/research;
— Organize a public event (such as a music performance or a discussion).
Eligible applicants: — Musicians, sound artists, and researchers residing in Dnipro (or able to stay in the city during the residency).
Both individual and group applications will be considered. Travel and accommodation are not covered.
DCCC will provide:
— Curatorial support,
— A fee of 8,000 UAH,
— A space for rehearsals/performances/events during the residency.
Residents are expected to actively participate in the working group meetings, organize one public event, and create their own work/research.
Deadline: October 20.
Results will be announced on October 25 via email.
