Let the long. Road. Lead. To. Stairs in. The Heavens

The exhibition Let the long. Road. Lead. To. Stairs in. The Heavens will be open on the 8th of June at 19:00 at the DCCC. The exposition presents the works of 11 Ukrainian artists and art collectives connected to contemporary ideas about Ukraine’s fate. It is an attempt to bring together different experiences and consider which phenomena and processes define us today: not only the colonial trauma of the past and the full-scale war but also broader temporalities, in particular, a decolonial future defined by the flexibility, resilience, creativity and perseverance of people.

In this exhibition, fate is a sign of the future, which does not have a specific date, but indicates a path that must necessarily take place, because it began a certain time ago and continues until now. The exhibition was created in cooperation with the Czech municipal gallery PLATO Ostrava and with the support of Kultura Medialna NGO. The exhibition is open until the 8th of August. Address: Krutohirny Uzviz (Descent), 21a. The entrance is located on the corner of Kurtogirny Uzviz and Uspenska Square (where the blue fence is), the second floor.
